On December 3, 2020, a 5-member defense team presented and defended our proposal in front of international reviewers and the DFG expert panel. The 20 minute presentation was very well received. Thanks to good preparation and good teamwork, Frank Ewert (ZALF), Xenia Specka, (ZALF), Juliane Fluck (ZBMED, University of Bonn), Jan-Henrik Haunert (University of Bonn) and Franziska Böhm (FIZ Karlsruhe, KIT) were able to answer the reviewers' questions during the further 40 minutes. We expect the results of the review in January. Until then, it is now time to keep your fingers crossed.

Das Konsortium NFDI4Agri, an dem zahlreiche Institute wie auch das IPK, ZALF, JKI oder Thünen Institut (siehe Partners), beteiligt sind, hat gerade einen Antrag auf Förderung bei der Deutschen Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) eingereicht. Ziel ist der Aufbau einer Forschungsdateninfrastruktur für die Agrarwissenschaften. Diese wiederum bettet sich ein in eine Nationale Forschungsdateninfrastruktur (NFDI). Warum das wichtig ist, wo Herausforderungen und Chancen liegen und warum es um einen echten Kulturwandel geht, erklärt der Bioinformatiker Dr. Matthias Lange vom IPK im Interview.
